Many individuals feel that observing silence during a weekend or three night retreat removes outside distractions enabling them to relax interruption free while clearly focusing on their relationship with the Lord. Our Silent Retreats create an opportunity for people to experience inner silence as the typical talks or conferences on our yearly theme are given by our presenters.
On our Silent Retreats we ask retreatants to refrain from talking to anyone except their confessor or spiritual director. You will be able to sing to hymns as respond at Mass as usual. We begin the silence after the first night prayer and end the silence after the last conference on the last day of the retreat.
These are the silent retreats offered this year:

Silent retreat quotes
Positive silence pulls us together and makes us realize who we are, who we might be, and the distance between the two. – Thomas Merton
We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls. – Mother Teresa
“Silence isn’t empty, it’s full of answers.” – Anonymous

St. Francis Peace Prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is discord, union; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is error, truth; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy… – attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi
