Fr. Matthew is an Associate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and completed his graduate program at St. Mary’s University School of Graduate Professional Psychology in Minneapolis. Matthew enjoys working with those confronting multi-faceted challenges with life transition, addictions, trauma issues and relational dynamics. Matthew also functions as a Roman Catholic priest in the Archdiocese of St Paul-Minneapolis, so his approach embraces spirituality, mindfulness and holistic-health perspectives. He has worked in several integrated care settings, including community-based mental health and hospitals. He also integrates his previous experiences as a career consultant and as an educator into counseling, as well as over 20 years of being in recovery communities.

Our Serenity Retreat is for men and women who are in recovery from alcohol or chemical addictions. They provide an opportunity for people who follow the 12-step program to gather together to focus on their spiritual lives, and share their struggles and joys in a safe and respectful context.
