2023 Lenten Day of Prayer Dates:
March 1, 8, 15 and 22
Last year’s (2022) theme:
Joy in the Desert

Our four Lenten Days of Prayer will focus on the life a desert experience can yield in one’s faith. While the desert can be barren it is also full of flora and fauna. It’s the place the Israelites came to develop a deeper relationship with God following their escape from Egypt. It’s where John baptized, and Jesus went for forty days and nights prior to his public ministry.
These days include:
March 9 – Entering and Emptying
March 16 – Come Back to Me
March 23 – Treasure in the Wilderness
March 30 – Toward the Promise Land
The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with a warm beverage and a time to chat with others. We’ll formally start at 9:45 a.m. with prayer and a conference. Confessions will be offered and spiritual direction. This is followed by a prayer experience, a bag lunch (bring your own bag lunch, the retreat center will refrigerate your lunch and provide a beverage), Stations of the Cross, and Mass. We’ll end by 2:30 p.m.. Join us for one day or the entire series that will help us discover Joy in the Desert.
And He said to all: If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me Luke 9:23
