Road Map

From Richfield, Hopkins, Golden Valley, take 169 south and cross the Minnesota River. Immediately after crossing river, exit for Savage. Turn right (south) on Highway 13, climbing out of the valley. Cross Co Rd 42. 3 miles and turn left on 160th Street, that is County Road 44. Two miles to Franciscan Retreat House sign, turn right.. Follow St. Francis Ave to Retreat House.

From Iowa, take I-35 North, exit for Prior Lake and Lakeville, (Scott Co Rd 60, or 185th Street); turn left (west) five miles. Road becomes County Road 21 as it enters Scott County. Turn Right at traffic light onto Co Rd 27. Two miles to County Road 44, turn left; ½ mile to St Francis Lane. Notice sign for Franciscan Retreat House. Turn left and follow the signs to the end of St Francis Lane.

From (St Paul), take I-35E South: County Road 42 West; Left on Dakota (Co Ro 27) -- two miles. Where Co Road 27 turns left, go straight onto County road 44. Half mile to Franciscan Retreat House sign, turn left. (This is a simple route, but delayed by traffic lights.)

From St Paul, take I-35E South, alternate #1:
On I-35E, pass through Burnsville, pass Buckhill Ski Slope, pass Lakeville.
Exit I-35 at 185th Street and turn right. 5 miles. Turn right on Co Ro 27. Two miles. Left on County Road 44. Half mile. (This is a long route but, with pastures and fewer traffic lights, it is scenic and relaxing.)

From Minneapolis/Bloomington, take -35W South to County Road 42 West; Left on Dakota Street (Co Ro 27). Where Co Road 27 turns left, go straight onto County road 44. Half-mile to Franciscan Retreat House sign, turn left.

Part 2- from Cannon Falls to Northfield via SR-19 West. Note: SR-19 is kind of twists and turns and takes other local road names: Hwy 19 Blvd, 330 th St, Stanton Blvd, Lonsdale Blvd, etc. Just remember to follow the sign with number 19 West. (#2 - # 8)

5: Turn RIGHT (West) onto SR-19 [Highway 19 Blvd]- 7.8
